Join our diverse community! Volunteer, foster, or both, and be the change we need in kitten rescue!
Volunteers are the life of Mini Cat Town! They are responsible for day to day care of the kittens on the adoption floors and interact with guests and adopters. Volunteers also help with our fundraisers and adoption events off site. Volunteer opportunities are located in San Jose, CA (Eastridge Shopping Center), Pleasanton, CA (Stoneridge Shopping Center), Santa Rosa, CA (Santa Rosa Plaza), and Milpitas, CA (Great Mall).
High school students (Grades 9-12) who have completed at least one semester of high school are also welcomed to apply. Our high school program now runs year round. More details on can be found in the flyer below. The same link above can be used to apply.
Mini Cat Town is a proud participant in the President’s Volunteer Service Award Program.
Be the start to a kitten’s life
Mini Cat Town rescue specializes in neonatal kittens. We pull the most vulnerable population from shelters and place them into foster homes until they are old enough to come to the adoption floor. Foster homes are a VITAL part of the Mini Cat Town community. Commitment times vary from 4-8 weeks, or short term “babysitting” gigs that last anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks. All supplies are provided by our organization as well as any needed training (i.e. bottle feeding). The most rewarding part of fostering is seeing your kitten grow and thrive in your care. Once they are all grown up, they get to come to the adoption floor where they are adopted by wonderful forever homes. Fostering is based in San Jose, CA.
